Can Apple tell if a phone has been pwned?

Hi, I need to return my phone to apple. it's been pwned, but not unlocked and not neutered. Neither the installer nor BSD have been installed. Can Apple tell that it simple has been pwned?

When did you get it and why are your returning it?

In iTunes, click on the "Restore" button to get it back to an out-of-box state...

The screen is cracked. I got it about 3 weeks ago.

From what others are saying, accidental damage is $249 for a replacement and they replace it for that price - no questions asked...

Best to return it to out-of-box though....
