iPod touch Purchased songs disappered

Recently I purchased two songs, at different times on my ipod touch.

I believe when I connected my ipod to my mac, they were removed from the ipod for some reason. I manage my music manually. They were not transfered to the mac and I am pretty sure this happened to me before.

Any ideas? I'm guessing if I contact Apple they will not help me.

The same thing happened to me the other day and I contacted the iTunes store and explained the situation and they posted the songs to my account for me to re-download on my Mac. They were really nice about it too. Hope this helps!
