I use the system for FCP 3, DVD Pro 1.5, and Pro Tools LE and have found it to be extremely fast and stable. I also have MS Office Vx as well as a lot of other software on the machine right now. These must all be deleted by you if you're interested in the machine.

I'm looking to get something portable (i.e. a new Tibook).

I just sold my Pismo 500 for a new Dually 800.. but currently can't find one under 2 grand.. Your 933 might do.. :confused:

Like the 933's but REALLY am wondering how much more power the Dual 800 has compared to the new 933.. looking for something to do video/MPG 2 encoding with.. definately could use the MP capabilities.

But.. for 1900.. that is a good deal.. grr.. decisions!

Yes, the 933 has the Superdrive. It works great. As for comparisons between the dual 800 and the single 933, check out Macspeedzone for some comparisons. That helped me make the decision to get the 933 over the dual 800. The L3 cache makes a pretty significant difference.
