I have an imac G5 that I am thinking about letting go. It is in great condition. I can't find the disks, and I am using the keyboard/mouse on my mini. So it would just be for the desktop/powercord/remote.

Its only a little over 2 years old. I just use it for imovie 08, and mp4 converting. I just don't seem to need it right now, and I could use a down payment on a HDTV more. It has hardware accelerated Core Image, and I believe it is faster for imovie 08 than my wife's new macbook.

So how much for:

iMac G5
17" screen
1.9ghz G5
ATI Radeon X600 Pro with 128 MB ram(PCI-Express)
512 megs of ram
superdrive
isight
powercord
remote

I was thinking 600 shipped?

Now that is just mean. I saw a couple previous gen g5's (the ones with problems) go for 500 shipped on ebay today. I would think mine could go for a little more than 400 here. I mean its only 2 years old!

Just my estimate based on missing restore discs and not including keyboard and mice. You're definitely free to ask for any price you want to get the top dollar.

The ones on ebay closed at 500 but every other one are complete or have upgraded RAM. Also, take in account that eBay will grab about 10% of your final sales price.

i'll give ya 325

i typically see these on craigslist for 425 or so with upgraded ram, box keyboard and mice

To the OP: Unfortunately, you will get low balled to death in here. You should try Craigslist or eBay.

Good luck on trying to sell your machine.

Yea maybe CL. If that doesn't work, feebay. I'll post the auction on this thread if it makes it that far. It just doesn't feel right selling something for half of what it was bought for 2 years ago. You can still get more than half price for a mac mini released in 05.

Gen 1 Intel iMac's (complete) go for $700, id say $500 locally would be a good bet.. you should really consider finding a mouse and kb though.

you wont get much more on eBay. If you get an offer above $500, take it.

I have one from a g3 imac, but those really stink. Any cheap USB one would do. But should I just go out and drop 20 on a cheap keyboard/mouse set?
