I am getting a new 17" G4 iMac and had a question about audio in. My friend has a G4 PowerBook and has demonstrated the voice recognition ability it has, thanks to the built in mic. Although I would use this feature as more of a novelty than anything, I was curious if, since there is obviously a built-in mic in the PowerBook, if the same goes with the new iMac I'll be getting. If not, what options do I have if I ever do want to get a mic?
Cheers,
Scott

They have a microphone on the display and a line in. When you get your iMac you can clearly see the mic hole on the bezel of the screen.

Cool, thanks, that's what I was hoping to hear! As I said, it's just a little novelty for me to be able to speak commands at my computer, even though I know it's not the most efficient way to do things... ;)

It has potential but Apple hasn't done anything with it for years. But ya it is neat feature.
