I'm having this very strange problem:
After I restarted my mpb the screen seems to be dead.
It's all black.
The computer is booting normaly I guess,
because I succesfully turned it off
using the power button and the enter key.
I havent made any changes on my system
and I have restarted the computer many times
(because I'm using bootcamp) in the past without any problem..
Do you think that the display needs to be replaced?
thank you!

ps. I have the santa rosa mpb 15" 2.4GHz

is the screen completely black or is the backlight just out?

Does it work with an external monitor?

Get it checked out.

Thank you for the quick replies!
So:
-It's completely black. Don't have an external monitor right now.
-No glowing Apple.
-Brightness button pressed many many times.
-PRAM resetted without any effect, problem is still there.

Another strange thing is tha the laptop doesn't seem to go on sleep when I close the lid.
