Don't know if this news has been posted, but through May, Amazon.com is offering $80 worth of CDs when you buy a 5GB iPod. Here's the link for more info:

I have an idea. The first person to buy me an iPod will get $80 worth of CD's - for free! :D

That's what Amazon.com posted for the offer's disclaimer. Again the offer is extended only to 5GB iPods. My feeling is that Amazon.com is trying to clear out some 5GB iPod inventory for something new.

Of course, for new products by Apple, the question is not "If?" but "When?"

Maybe for the 10 gig ipod?

Does anyone know if the 10 gig version is selling better than the 5 gig version?

That's a very good question, I'd be curious to see that sales statistics, but I'm not sure just anyone is going to have them. What I might see happening is that the 5 will be dropped and the 10 will be the low end (at the 5 price) and they'll introduce a 20. I might go out and get one then.

Now's Amazon's selling the 5-gig iPods for $377 US.

it does looks like iPod 5gig are trying to be sold out. I wonder why!

I bet that we will see 20gig iPods at SF, or possibly MWNY03.
