warcraft 3 frozen throne start up problems

hello everyone.
to get cut and dry I installed this game 3 times and every time I try to start up the game it automatically quits and it gives me the message "this application Warcraft 3 quit unexpectedly." if anyone has had this happen plz share Id like to play again

Did you update to the latest version off of blizzards website?

have you trashed the preferences files when you've reinstalled? If not, a reinstall is unlikely to change anything.
