What happens to the O2 sim inside my iPhone when I sell it off?

Do I take it out and send over just the iPhone (without any SIM) and put it into my new iPhone?

How would the buyer get a new sim from O2 should he decides to sign up for a new contract?

Thanks for answering.

keep your sim

chances are the guy wont be getting an iPhone contract, if he choses to, then he can request one from o2

Thanks for your answer.

And the second question is...

If I were to put my O2 sim into a Nokia phone just for calls and SMS... will it work?

this is supposed to be a temporary thing until I get a new iPhone.

The o2 website says that you should remove the SIM and the new receiver of the iPhone will reactivate iPhone..
Good luck being iPhoneless for some time, I don't think i could cope a second without mine TBH.

I notice that when you sell an unlocked iPhone, it could fetch a higher price too... but then I don't really have any knowledge about this although I am fully aware of the unlocking / jail-breaking going on...

Anyway, the phone is slightly damaged (scratch / dent on the back)... but only a cosmetic issue... the screen and everything else is working fine... I have sold it off for 200 pounds (16GB).
