Is it possible to use the imac as a monitor?

I was wondering if it possible to hook up another mac or maybe even a pc to my 24inch imac and use it as a monitor.

The iMac does not have video in so no. There is some software you can use across a network, but the name of it escapes me.

You can use an Elgato thingy, they can function as a video in.

They work for TV. Not sure they do one that will accept a computer signal.
