Hey everyone! This is one of those technical questions.

I have a 4th gen 20 gig ipod. For the past few months its been freezing on me. Freezing to the point where i have to restart it using the menu and select buttons to use it again. This usually equates to it freezing again and its a never ending battle.

So I have restored it through itunes and have done all i can software wise. Recently I bought a new 20 gig harddrive for it and installed it myself. For the first day i had it, it worked without a problem. But we're back to the same problem again. The freezing won't stop. I'm trying to hold out until the 2nd gen ipod touch comes out.

Please tell me someone has had this problem and knows how to fix it. I have no idea how to fix it and I'm pissed i spent money on a new harddrive to figure out that it has nothing to do with the problem.

HELP!!!!!! :(

Is this a common thing? I've never heard and/or read about this.

Is it possible and inexpensive to fix?

I don't know about common, but it can happen. These iPods aren't perfect.

And I guess you would have to buy the logic board part.
