That, for me, was the key sentence. Sure, it's a nice gain over the x3100 (provided apple writes real drivers for it... as of now, the supposedly better x3100 really doesn't do much better than the gma 950 because the x3100 drivers are so horrid), but it's still damn poor. 1024x768? very low detail? and we still can't crack 25 fps? Yes, it's "some progress," but still not good at all.

Look at the benchmarks again. The Intel GPU is using a much faster processor than the GeForce 8400M GS. Compare the two on the same processor and the X4500 still won't be able to keep up at all.

The sad thing is, the GeForce 8400M GS would only cost Apple a few dollars more, yet they still choose to shaft us with integrated GPUs.

The Apple TV has a dedicated GPU, why can't the MacBook and Mac mini have one like the G4 Mac mini and iBooks used to?
