Say I had some people interested in the Apple TV, and they all lived in different house sizes - with their tv's all different distances from their router.
For some it's feasible for them to run ethernet, and for those that it's not feasible- they want to use wireless, but they're not sure if wireless G will be enough.
What are some general guidelines for wireless distances ? I know it'd be easy just to tell everyone to go get an airport extreme base station- but a lot of people already have routers.
Also are there any good boosters out there? How about this as an option: they run ethernet a short way from their router, and then they hook up an airport express unit, and have that broadcast a wireless N signal. Would this be a decent option?
**All of these solutions/ answers must apply to both mac and pc**
Thanks!
