So I just learned how to change Icons for programs and I tried to change the icon on a folder as well which worked but it does not display the change on the right side of the dock? Also it seems like a few of my programs aren't as receptive to the Icon change such as transmission which has occasionally reverted back to the old icon. Does anyone know where to find some good icons as well as good instructions on how to work with them.
Also is there a way to go back to the default icons if I become unhappy with the new ones?

u should just get the program candybar
it will make things so much more simple
but the way you are doing it, the only way to revert back to the backup is by keeping an original icon as a backup

^ Not true. To revert to the original, simply do <command> <x> and it will be the original again.
To apply the changes to the dock, redrag it onto the dock or click on "Display as Stack" and then "Display as Folder" again.

Well, I don't know how these suggestions worked out for him but I've spent about 20-30 minutes looking for ways to backup my default icons because I didn't know about <command> <x> :)
