10.5.3 Broke My Apps (List yours here)

Not exactly broken ...
but I did acquire a new "Developer" folder on the top level of my HD. 🙂

I have this at home because I installed XCode, but previous to 10.5.3 update my work machine had just the default folders and no "Developer" folder.

I have one too, and I have installed XCode. Not sure if it was there already or not, but I have one there too.

That's supposed to be normal behaviour, I believe: I have XCode and the iPhone SDK in there on mine, and it's always appeared (in my experience) when installing XCode. Hmm.

Didn't break anything on mine though. After a reboot, it's wonderfully zippy generally and seems to be a lot more settled. I have an iMac G5, and I could kind of feel it struggling on 10.5 -> 10.5.2 in a way it never did on Tiger. Seems a lot more together now, though. 😀
 
well it messed up my mac pro. something about the permissions. i'm having to repair them from my leopard disk right now. hopefully it'll fix the problem
 
Nothing broke here. Appears much more responsive (Safari). Checked my permissions and all is correct from Disk Utility. So much pleased here.....

so far so good. I got that "developer" folder from 10.5.2 (had to format and reinstall everything last wk so I still remember 😀 )
 
Won't even install 🙁

This is odd. Something I wouldn't expect from Apple. The package, through both system update and through the direct install, won't install the update. When it goes through system update, it says the package cannot be verified. In the direct install, it says it can't find the package! This is quite frustrating. Any ideas?
 
Anybody else having email issues? I am using the HTTPMail for hotmail accounts and now my mail is not syncing. I have taken them off line, reloaded them and nothing is working. I can send emails but for some reason it doesn't want to load the new ones.

Any suggestions?


**Update** It is not letting me send emails either.....

**Update** Looks like this app doesn't work with the newest update yet.....
 
Is this items that were already in your iCal or ones you just put in closed and then reopened? Just curious because when I first started up after the install this happened. I shut down my system and started it back up and the double entry was gone. It hasn't happened since.

These have been the only two things I have noticed... but to be fair the one is not apples fault since I am using a third party plugin to get my email from my hotmail account.

Everything else seems to be running fine now. It did take a couple shut downs and restarts but since then everything has been working fine (with the exception of my email.)

All of the mysterious duplicates were ones added to the Calendar with .ics files. I tried the TimeMachine backup restore and it worked for a matter of minutes, then before my eyes hundreds of events just appeared.

I haven't restarted my machine since the install/restart for 10.5.3, so I'll try that.
 
After first boot up after download I got a message saying "Leopard cache cleaner is not compatible with 10.5.3"
 
Microsoft internet explorer is dead on the mac

After installing 10.5.3 Microsoft internet explorer 5.2 stopped working. I enjoyed moving IE to the trash.

I have the same problem, now i am forced to use entourage, because thunderbird with hotmail isn't working either...
I hope they fixe it fast, i love mail 🙂
