Hi Guys,

I live in the UK and I wanted to know if I you can search on Maps by typing in a postcode (uk postcode)?

Are there any updates which do this?

Thanks in advance

Try searching for "pizza express london" and google maps will tell you there are only 2 or 3 when in fact there are 10 or 20 of them.

Also the location on maps is quite poor. I searched for the theatre royal in drury lane and its a 5 minute walk from where google said it is!!!!!

Yeah, the Google Maps POI database for the UK could be a lot better..

Agreed. It even at times indicates entire Postcodes incorrectly many miles away :S

I assume there aren't any other maps that working like this (i.e. navigation applications?)

If you're referring to the Satellite Navigation maps, they're entirely different.

I managed to find a friend's house out in the country by using my dad's Nav Man easily just using her Postcode, but Google Maps put her house about 20 miles South East of where she lives.

Don't get me wrong, Google maps is a awesome application, it just needs a bit of editing here and there to make it a bit more reliable.
