It was a really nice update. It fixed all my problems with Spaces that drove me nuts and it seems that it also fixed a wake-from-sleep issue where OpenGL ***** everything up along with Parallels.

After applying the update, the .mac icon with the recycle arrows all of a sudden appeared. How the heck do I remove it? I don't want the menu bar to get cluttered with apps I don't use and this is not a nice way to persuade me to buy the darn thing.

No, it's .mac. It happens every update on my PB G4, doesn't happen on any other computer, though. Weird, since I do not use .mac at all and all my computers are set up in exactly the same way.

Just open the .mac preferences in and uncheck "show status".

cmd+click and drag it off! 🙂 are you sure its not the Time Machine icon?

It was not. Wow. I had no idea you could drag off icons that way and I have been a pro mac user for more than 3 years ^_^

There's no way to uncheck status in my preferences but the magic cmd + click to drag it of worked 😀
Now if this would only work with non-apple apps also... 🙄
