Is it possible to use a G4 PowerBook (3 years old) charger on a 7 year old G3 iBook? Or will the higher power PB charger blow the iBook up?

AFAIK, it should work just fine.

AFAIK, it should work just fine.
In my experience, the 65-watt PowerBook adapters work just fine with the iBooks, which came with 45-watt adapters.

Thanks for that. The charger on the old iBook doesn't seem to be making a good contact somewhere (not sure if it's the plug or the socket) and the battery only lasts for a few minutes. I was hoping that in an emergency I might be able to plug my PB charger in without blowing the iBook up, hoping that it might make a better connection.
It does look like the poor iBook's time on this earth is drawing to a close though :( Still running Tiger pretty well with only 384Mb RAM!
