I bought the Imac a couple weeks ago. I'm running FCP. i read the Energy Saver window is where i can set the processor power to high from auto. when i go to mine it only shows

Wake Options:

Wake for Ethernet network administrator access

Other Options:

Allow power button to sleep computer
Automatically reduce brightness of the display before display sleep
restart automatically after a power failure.

waht gives???

So then does that mean i don't have to worry about it? is it already set to high? I notice that when i am rendering or converting a sequence to Quicktime in FCP, the computr doesn't use as much processor as possible. Only like 25%. is there a way for me to increase this?

I'm no expert, so if i don't know what i am talking about, i apologize.

You don't need to worry about it.

FCP is going to utilize as much of your processor as it can; in other words, the bottleneck most likely lies somewhere else. It's just the way some programs operate.
