Screen Issue - new since 10.5.3

I am noticing problems with the display of menu sections and window title areas of applications since upgrading to 10.5.3. Symptoms include color issues, small lines going up and down over icons within apps. Pressing an icon within an app causes the display of the icon to get messed up as well. Any suggestions.

Maybe a little more info would help others answer.

Type Mac?
Revision (if applicable)?
Installed ram?

I've done 10.5.3 (from software update) on 1 iMac 2.8 24", 2 MB 2.2 SR's, and 1 MBP and haven't had any issues.

Zapping the PRAM might help as well.
 
Additional info

MBP 2007 mode, 17 inch no gloss screen l with 4gb ram and osx 10.5.3

And the problem appears on resolutions of 1280 X 1024 and others but not 1600 and above
