iPhone photo LIBRARY to computer?

I'm running a Mac OS X leapord

and i somehow managed to accidentally delete all my 900 pictures (yes, I checked the trash haha)

but they're all in my photo LIBRARY (not captured photos) on my iphone

I do know how to upload the pics I take into my iPhoto but i was wondering if there was a way to get my library all back on my computer?

have you tried the "sync" photos option in itunes? it should warn you if its going to overwrite anything. I just can't remember off head if there is a way to sync from phone to computer. they only other thing I can think of would be to e-mail every photo to yourself...would be WAY too time consuming tho.
