I need to install Windows on my MB Pro in order to run Office 2007 for school (as well as some other miscellaneous school software programs). Should I go with Vista or XP? If XP, which service pack?

Also, I don't plan on playing games, just using Windows for school purposes - should I partition my hardrive w/ Boot Camp for 8GB or 16GB (FAT32)?

Thanks

XP on a Macbook for the simple reason that it takes up much less space on your hard drive.

Ever thought of running Office on your Mac? Office 2008 for Mac (http://www.microsoft.com/mac/default.mspx)

As has been suggested, Office 2008 for the Mac is a good choice. You can purchase a copy at Amazon for $119.99 plus free shipping. However, if you already have Office 2007 and other programs for Windows you need to use for school, install XP Home SP2 or SP3. Takes up a lot less space and easier to setup than Vista.

As for disk size and format, unless you need lots of room for large programs create an 8 Gb partition and format it as FAT-32 in order to read and write to it from OS X. BTW, Vista can only be installed to NTFS and needs twice the disk space and memory as XP.
