Ok, I have imported many of my Cds into my Powermac and have encoded them as ACC. Now those same files, to transfer them to my RIO 500, I can then change the import to MP3, and just right click on the song I want to have in MP3 form so it can be transfered to my player using iTunes.

Now, the question is, if I download a song from the iTunes music store, can it be changed into an MP3 so that it can be transfered and played on my RIO 500?

Yes, you can convert from AAC to mp3 with iTunes (dunno about protected AAC) but will loose quality.

Try a search on the topic within these forums. There has been quite a few threads.

Buy an iPod ;)

Burn it to a CD and rip as mp3.

EDIT: Burn it as an audio CD.

From my experience, you can not convert a song bought from ITMS to MP3.

Try Amadeus II 3.6.1, evidently it's supposed to be able to convert AAC to MP3 without losing much if any quality.
