Does anyone know if in the past Apple has discounted anything for fathers day? I would like to get my father a macbook and it'd be nice if there was some deals out there.

Apple isn't a furniture store. They don't have sales for mundane holidays. Or at all.

Apple doesn't do any sales except for Black Friday, but even those are pricier than the edu discount. If you want a good deal, I would say look into the refurbished section of the Apple store.
