No I for one have not seen that yet, I thought no. 5 was exceptionally funny:
5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was twice as
reliable, five times as fast, twice as easy to drive - but it would only
run on five percent of the roads.

Superb!
Should Linux be a kind of ultra-highspeed Truck?
Nice post, some days ago I read a similar one but about Viagra
:D

Ahhh, but Apple's drive on 95 percent of the roads.
Rather I think that it would be that only 5 percent of people would be smart enough to buy an Apple car.

That is a very intersting list. It sounds just like the way that Microsoft would setup their cars. Always deciding how you should do things.
I agree, 5 percent are the lucky ones to purchase such reliable and easy to use car.

Absolutely!! But is should come in kit form, be twice as quick as anything out there, even if cobbled from old parts, must know the serial numbers of all components in order for them to work and you can't access the manual until everything is up and running, and you can turn the radio on! :D
Oh, and you never have to turn off the engine :)

If you really like car analogies AND OS humor, the granddaddy of them all is here: http://www.cryptonomicon.com/beginning.html You'll have to download the entire thing to get the full story. It's long, long, long, but VERY good, a superb read. Of course, I might be biased because he compares the beos to the batmobile. Note that this article is extremely pre-OS X.
A tidbit:
"Of late, Be has responded to the tiresome accusation that they are doomed with the assertion that BeOS is "a media operating system" made for media content creators, and hence is not really in competition with Windows at all. This is a little bit disingenuous. To go back to the car dealership analogy, it is like the Batmobile dealer claiming that he is not really in competition with the others because his car can go three times as fast as theirs and is also capable of flying."
Heehee, I love Stephenson.

The airbag system would say "Are you sure?" before going off.
Nice.

I heard on the radio this morning that Microsoft wants its software to run on all cars. The software would tell you if you need to fill up your gas tank, pay your tolls automatically, etc. I thought immediately about this thread when I heard this. I don't need Microsoft software in my car to do things that the gas gauge and EZ-Pass can do just as well. Besides, what happens if the software crashes in the middle of a four-lane highway?

Your car has just crashed, this is a serious error, if you would like to send an error report to Microsoft you can now.
Actually a BMW carrying a diplomat had windows crash in his car and he nearly died in the resulting crash(into a wall)
