iPhone won't sync with web .mac account...

I just purchased a .mac account, since I am buying a MacBook(should here this week). I have an iPhone and have added my .mac email account to my iPhone.

The problem is that when I delete an email on the iPhone, it still shows up on the web .mac in the inbox. Am I doing something wrong or does the server not know that I deleted on the iPhone?

It does this for me as well. If you delete say 4 emails one the iphone then log into .mac email you still see them in the inbox. If you then delete one of these four from the webmail inbox the other 3 are also moved to the trash at the same time. As its not POP i guess this is normal behaviour, maybe next week this will change.
