Unfortunately for you all, I'm definitely a newbie.
I did, however, find a post on my issue, but can't for the life of me find it again.

If anyone can answer some questions for me or refer me to the right post, It'd be much appreciated:

I found this site on opening TCP ports, however, I do not have the option to adjust firewall settings in this location. As far as I'm aware the only place in System Preferences I can do this is in "Security".

Please advise!

They seem to have taken out the ability to control particular ports, the old fashioned way like in 10.4. It seems like the only thing you can do now is "Set access for specific applications," either allow or deny certain programs. It seems to do the trick, I guess.

Alright. Thanks, TH-Gunner.

Can anyone claim that Azureus will give you a better seeding rate than Transmission? I've heard that, if stripped down, it's the better program, but I don't want to part with the simple interface of the latter.
