I recorded some audio 24-bit 96kHz (uncompressed PCM). When I play it back through the recorder (Marantz PMD671) it sounds great, but on the computer and in Logic it sounds noisy and like the levels are blown even though they're not.

I have Logic's project settings set to 96kHz but I can't find any option for 24-bit (or any resolution for that matter). Is that bad?

are you positive its not a sync issue anywhere along the line?
do you have any other hardware running whilst logic is open?

Everything should be fine as far as I know. 16-bit audio still plays fine, it's just the 24-bit stuff.

Try looking at your audio/midi settings (in utilities folder).

Set your output device to 24/96

See if that helps?

What are you using to output the audio from the Mac... a soundcard... dac... line out?
