Hi just a quick question.

Is it possible to disable to bootup sound because I do a lot of my work in a silent study library so I need it to turn on silently.

thanks

i use Psst! to mute my MBP's startup chime. does work straight away takes a few boots and doesnt work on every mac.

There is a way of doing it but not sure how, would like to know myself.

My video card on my iMac broke last month and when it came back from being fixed there is no start up sound. I would like to do this on my MacBook as well as I find the noice quite annoying.

Yeah I can do the mute on my C2D macbook but when you forget or use headphones the sound still operates. I am surprised there is not a simple way to disable it.

I guess its always the little things...
