odd that it appears that 250 dinar is around $837, can you catually cash them in though? It seems odd that the iraqi currency is so high. and in pounds it is £486 ! very odd.

If it is in the old Saddam-style bills then I would hang on to them, could be of value to collectors one day.

Yes, it is an old bill with Saddams ugly head stuck on it. My friend says he has literally thousands of these things. He maild them to all his friends and family.

I have no idea how he came across them. I think the are actually distributed to the soldiers. If I remember corectly he said he gets them and used them for buying things at local iraqi sandwhich shops and the like. I did not get the impression that he stole them. If he did that would be wrong.
