Automatically connecting to the ethernet

I recently had to hook my computer up using the ethernet cables now that I am home and using airport it still tries to connect using ethernet! I have to stop it from trying to connect every time and manually connect using airport. How can I stop it from doing this? It use to connect through airport when I booted up..
