Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to install Tiger on the Apple TV using SSH. I am getting my Apple TV soon and I have a Patchstick to allow SSH. Is there an alternative method to install it, without opening it up? Can you install it from a Flash Drive?

Thanks

check the awkward.tv website and this (http://www.appletvhacks.net/2007/04/01/mac-os-x-running-on-apple-tv/)

Just out of curiosity - why do you want to do it?

Just out of curiosity - did you read my initial post? I said WITHOUT opening the Apple TV. Thanks anyways though.

I don't know about the remote part (I'm about 90% sure its impossible without opening the case because you have to do a full format to install osx, which would remove any ssh capabilities that might be installed) but Tiger works great on it. Its the smallest Mac computer ever!
