I've searched and can't find the answer. Each time I view a PDF file, the iMac automatically saves it. I again have about 75 PDFs that I have to go through and delete where perhaps only 1-2 were deliberately saved by me.

Can anyone advise where I can turn off automatic saving of PDFs? It's really annoying. Thanks.

There is a fantastic (and very popular) extension for Firefox called "PDF Download", when you click on a link to a PDf you get a popup asking if you want to view, save, view as HTML or cancel. very useful.

Not sure if you needed a solution for Safari, but Firefox 3 is a better browser anyway. 🙂
