4GB kit: Matched pair CL6 over unmatched CL5?

Now here's my limit on RAM knowledge:

Would I prefer matched pair DDR in my iMac when it is CL6 over an unmatched pair of CL5?

Does the iMac even care if it is matched?

Unmatched as in how? If its the same speed and size, its pretty well matched.

Yep, same type make and modelnumber, but perhaps not from the same batch - or even factory for that matter.

This says it all though: (on matched pairs)
"The benefits are real but marginal."

The benefit of a better CL is not marginal to my knowledge - yet I don't know what CL the iMac is set up for...
