Apple installed Leopard for free?

My MacBook's (mid 2007) hard drive failed not to long ago (~3 months), so I sent it in for repair since it was still under apple care. I had Tiger installed on the hard drive that they replaced. When I received it back in the mail it had a fresh install of leopard on it. There was no charge to the credit card or anything. I found it a bit odd that :apple: would have installed a 130$ operating system on my computer for free. Do you think this is normal? :confused:

Wow, you got lucky on this one, I'm assuming that the store you brought it to only had blank drives, and didn't have any Tiger installations on them, and rather lose customer satisfaction by taking too long repairing it by attempting to find a Tiger copy, they probably figured that they would boost customer satisfaction by updating the OS for free, Congrats!

I think most times that Apple has a repair in a similar situation that they would upgrade the machine to the newest OS. My MacBook Pro was going to be upgraded to Leopard before Apple decided to replace it. :)
