Concerned? No. Excited, Yes.

I'm sort of longing for the days when Apple put as much passion and energy into the Mac as they are currently lavishing on the iPhone. Given that there are considerably more Mac owners than iPhone owners, the disproportionate level of attention seems silly. Still, I'm hopeful the Mac will be given a reasonable amount of the spotlight today--not betting the farm on it, but fingers crossed.

But you're probably not being serious, so I'm confused in whether I should be totally serious or acknowledge the fact you were probably making a joke...and I'm making myself more confused :P

About WWDC...I have school tomorrow but I'm prepared to stay up all night (it's 10:48PM here) to know the outcome.

You'd be supprised there're quite some people, that acutally do celebrate xmas in 'winter' here. Not the majority though, but there are some, (I know of some in the blue mountain region).
apperantly some migrants didn't want to change there xmas 'feeling'.

Anyhow I'm happy to celebrate a second xmas, so let's what's presents will arrive today ....

cheers

The covered banner says:

"Minesweeper. Now for the iPhone."
;)

The keynote will consist of Steve playing Minesweeper for a couple hours, with an announcement at the end that everyone in the audience will get a free copy.

But seriously, is anyone expecting anything surprising this time around? We don't usually know what the surprise will be, but there's often an indication that there will be one. Not this year as far as I can tell. The rumor round-up seems to confirm that not a lot is expected this time around. Some people expect a tablet, but besides that what's out there? (I know about me.com rumors, but this wouldn't be much of a surprise either...)

While I am very eagerly awaiting the new iPhone and am curious what's in store for OS X, I hope Steve has something up his sleeve. Either Apple has really kept something under wraps, or my prediction may not be far wrong...

Back in the old days, we had this thing called the Mac. And it didn't fit in your pocket or have an accelerometer or touchscreen and we had to walk through 10 miles in the snow for our software updates, and we liked it that way.

</old man>

I think I'm going to have a shirt made with this on it.

Too overzealous to schedule an iPhone appointment at a store for 10AM tomorrow?

A phone call to my local store confirms they're open and plan to be all day.

Which would suggest that availability is pretty highly unlikely. Damn.

Well, if Apple cared about the Mac as much as they care about the iPhone, we would see that today.

No, scratch that. We'd have seen that in 2007.

No, actually he added that during the keynote, most of the staff would be in the back "with the boxes." He didn't say what they had or would have, but gave me a sly smile.

Apple needs to sell 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008 ... not 10 million Macs. At least that is Steve's logic.

Not necessarily. I think they're not making a midrange tower because it doesn't fit their philosophy of it being "an all in one world". They don't want to become too-PC-ish - they want something to differentiate themselves from the bunch...and the iMac is a great way to do so.
But yeah, today will probably be 90% iPhone.

Maybe a tablet if we're lucky!

Auto-refresh would be neat. the live updates auto refresh, though, so don't worry.

The planets just went in to alignment.

Bill Gates just started sobbing.

Not long to go...

Have you ever noticed the facial similarities between Ballmer and Frankenstein monster in the movie comedy?

Even more so, when he sobs.

Don't panic

Unfortunately this is going to be all about the iPhone SDK, it is a developers event after all.

I'll be very suprised if there is anything else.

THere not going to announce any new MacBooks or Mini's at this event.

And Windows Vista to Windows Garfield.

Beeep!
