I have iMovie 7.1.1 and want to use the time lapse feature I have heard can be done with iMovie and iSight. I've been looking around and it seems like the only iMovie that has the time lapse option is iMovie 6 (and HD?). So I would have thought that iMovie 7 would have the same feature, but I just can't find it. Did Apple leave it out? Or am I just not getting it?

Left out.

iMovie '08 was a complete rewrite of the iMovie Code.
Many little bits have gone from it. You can download iMovie '06 from Apple.

If you don't get what you want from iMove, buy the cheapest version of iStopMotion (I can't remember which version this is, but look at the website). It's not much and the time lapse and stop-motion animation support are very good.
