Mac/PC sharing on home LAN?

I will soon own a Mac which will be connected via a ethernet hub to a PC. Is there an easy way to transfer files from the PC to the Mac? The PC runs Windows XP and the new mac will run Panther.

All you need to do is enable sharing on either machine. Panther will share your home folder to your PC when you connect from it, so I find it easier to set up your PC to share because you can specify folders more easily. Your PC should show up in your Network area of your Mac in the Finder. Connect and share away.
