View Full Version : Advice on Apple Cinema Displays

Hi,
As I've posted before, I'm looking to buy a 23" ACD and have found one fairly close for £400 (with AppleCare til July 2010).

Is this a good buy? My only concern is one the Apple site it says it's a 'Late 2005' model.

Sure, go for it. The ACDs haven't been updated for a while, so there's not much to be worried about.

Is there much difference in brightness etc between the 'Late 2005' and the current ones though? (The reason I ask is because I have a Late 2005 one at the moment which needs to be taken to Apple. I'm just concerned that if they end up replacing it, will there be loads of difference between the 2 when sitting side by side?)

according to the guides, the brightness and contrast ratio were last updated in 2006.

Thanks, although I'm a little lacking in knowledge of monitor specs. Will the updated displays be noticeably different to the pre 2006 models in real life?
