I think they are probably still deciding whether or not it is going to be a full 10.X release.
 
I am not saying it won't be 10.6. It very well could be. I am just theorizing that perhaps Apple hasn't yet decided whether or not it will be 10.6. What other explanation do you guys have for them not ONCE calling it 10.6, either in the keynote or anywhere on their web site?

Are those orchardspy photos legit? They look convincing enough. If so, it looks like nearly *every* single application is getting an update, and most of them major. (iChat, Mail, Address Book, etc.) And even some smaller apps are getting point releases, like Exposé, Chess, and Calculator.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when Apple shifts their entire focus from features to efficiency and performance. 😉
