excellent time for using your never used 60 day trial .Mac

I've always been too lazy to try the 60 day trial with .Mac, but now that mobile me is coming, I've just registered. It's great, it seems nice. But Mobile Me looks so much better. Now that these are the last days, it's really time to start with .Mac.
 
Lots of the features will only work with a paid subscription though. You do get to use most of the email functions.
 
Trials may not be upgraded automatically

People who do not have full paid .Mac accounts may not be upgraded automatically.

Here is a quote from the end of the notice sent to .Mac users (from the one I received at my trial account a few days ago).

"To be upgraded automatically when MobileMe goes live, become a full .Mac member now."

No problem there.

Just thought I'd mention it for those who were wanting to have their .Mac e-mail addresses carry over automatically.

Many people have said that they plan to get a trial now, and then get their username at .Mac carried over automatically.

But, it appears that if you don't register, then you may not have that opportunity to keep using the .Mac address.

Rats...I should've signed up a little later. I won't have money until late September. Does anyone know how much time you get to buy .mac before the mail address and stuff disappears? Is it instant, or..?

I think 59 days.. But if you don't have any money now, why not spare a little if you get money? 🙄

Do you mean the 59 days left of my trial or do you mean beyond that?
I'd save money for it if I could, but I don't start working 'til August and thus get my money September.

Once the account expires, it's done. So, you can use it through the 60th day of the trial, but that's it (unless you renew it or pay for it before the expiration).
