MBP 15". I know a lot of it is personal preference, but which is "more popular?"
I am thinking about resale value....
Any input appreciated.

Wrong forum.
It truly is personal preference; whichever you get, someone will buy it.

I've been looking at a lot of eBay listings and these things sell easily, regardless of which screen they have. I don't have a MBP, but I personally prefer the matte screen.

I haven't heard of/seen any difference in the resale value of the screens. Just keep it in good shape if you're worried about the resale. As for which one you should get, glossy will work best inside in a normal house-like setting with dimmer lights, and gives a little more clarity than matte, but glare would be an issue you would need to deal with. The matte screens, for all intents and purposes, are essentially the same, unless you're working with high quality movie or picture files, but have less glare (i.e. so you can work in more diverse and brighter lighting situations).

I don't know if it effects resale value, but personally do like the matte screens a lot better.

I think with glossy screens the colors are more vibrant, but I could very well just be crazy.

My brother has an MBP with the glossy screen. When compared with the matte screen, I much prefer the glossy (for whatever my opinion is worth! ;)). He's hasn't had any problems with glare or reflections.

Obviously not relevant to the MB, but I prefer matte.

I appreciate the input. I went with the matte 15" MBP 2.5 250 4g.
I appreciate all the input!

Every person I've spoken to prefers glossy over matte. The glossy screens make whites brighter and blacks darker, and colors really pop quite a bit more. All my friends are jealous that I purchased the glossy while they purchased the matte.
Hope this helps.

Congrats on the matte purchase.
