If you buy a 16gb iPhone for $299 and purchase a mobile me account for $99 that gives you a total of 36gbs of memory that you can access whenever. Any thoughts?

I don't know if your music will be available over-the-air with MobileMe, meaning with a larger music library, you might still be stuck with 16GB storage space. Any thoughts?

had a dot mac account aka mobile me, and it requires a very fast upload speed of internet to be useful. Uploading 1-10GB is hard enough, but downloading it again can be annoying.

No, not the same... at all.

The online storage is only good for photos, email, and files. You can't stream your music and movies from it, you can't install apps to it, etc.

You already have access to an unlimited amount of space for music. Your computer. There are several iphone programs that can stream music.

I was a little bummed out that there isn't a 32GB iPhone 3G that I didn't even consider streaming music.

I'm still excited about getting a black 16GB, but this gives me another thing to look forward too 🙂

Try Orb....google too, there's more. I use Orb I like it.

Orb, and everything else I found while googling, either requires Windows, or a jailbroken phone -- neither of which I have (or want).

Guess I'll wait for the App Store and hope for the best...
