Quartz 2D Extreme and Safari 3.1.1

Hi All,

I just enabled Quartz 2D Extreme on my Powerbook G4 12" 1.33GHz with Mac OS X 10.4.11. I found out that scrolling in Safari is irresponsive and painfully slow.

Very interestingly, however, the scrolling in Safari becomes smooth after I visit any web pages with video stream applet on them, such as a YouTube page.

Anyone has any explanations on this? Please note that it is about Quartz 2D Extreme, not Quartz Extreme (which was enabled in Mac OS X 10.4 by default).

Any information and advice will be welcomed. Thanks a lot.
