Each square root is between two integers. Name the two integers.

Which do you think?

6 and 7
4 and 5
7 and 8

I am seriously confused.. 😕

"brain fart"!!!

I POSTED IT WRONG.. HERES THE PROBLEM.

√27

5 and 6
6 and 7
4 and 5
7 and 8

yeh i thought the first question was posted wrong, it made no sense.

well sqrt(27) = 5.20 (3sf) so thats between 5 and 6… easy! 🙂

If you don't have a calculator, realize that 25 < 27 < 36, so sqrt(25) < sqrt(27) < sqrt(36)

Therefore

5 < sqrt(27) < 6

um, yeah, this is easy

5^2 = 25 and 6^2 = 36

since 27 is between 25 and 36 then the sqrt(27) must be between 5 and 6.

What do I press on a calculator to find simplest form of a fraction?

I am def on my macbook... using leopard. so what would it be?
