Status of Parental Controls?

I remember reading early on with Leopard about there being lots of problems with Parental Controls (parental controls getting reset or disabled when the computer was restarted, no logging, no website filtering worked, etc.)

The 10.5.3 update brought some fixes to Parental Controls, and I want to get some details as to how the Parental Controls are working now (if at all). All details, especially regarding any problems you've run into, are super appreciated.
