AirPort Extreme ok for use with 2.4mhz phones?

I suppose you mean GHz instead of MHz ;) Anyways, yes it's OK. I have 2.4GHz phone in my house and sometimes use it right next to my powerbook w/ airport and everything works fine.

If there are problems, and you have AE, turn on Inteference Robustness in the Menu bar.

I had an interference problem when I first got my AE, but all I had to do was change the channel the base station was using and it works fine now. If I recall correctly there are 11 channels to choose from with the AE. You will be fine.

Also, if I remember correctly, most wireless phones do signal hopping so that no one can listen in on your conversations. This also keeps interference to a minimum.
I do not believe that having devices on the same frequencies will automatically give you interference. The wireless networking companies just have to tell you that so they don't have to explain it away later on. There is a very small chance of any major interference from anything except for maybe a microwave.
