I'm wondering how i can export my
Firefox & Safari Password Keychains to another Mac ?

I have all my bank passwords etc. stored in Firefox and Safari,
and would like to use them on another Mac......?

thanks!!

Can you can do the same in safari ....?

i mean export the password keychain ?

thanks!

Obviously a little late, but, whatever....

Safari's keychains can be accessed via Apps>Utilities>Keychain Access

The actual files, as in the ".keychain" files are found ~/Library/Keychains.

Are they compatible with Firefox? Probably not.

How can I make them compatible? That's what I'm trying to find out. Keep me filled in if you come across any.

P.S. There actually is a utility that lets you do so, but it costs some $30-40 dollars. No way...

I use FoxMarks to sync not only my bookmarks, but also my Firefox passwords.

They have a version for Firefox, Safari and IE (yuk). I use it on my Mac and Windows systems so no matter where I am, my Firefox has my stuff.

Foxmarks seems pretty cool,
but that seems very dangerous to store your entire
password library on somebody else's server !

God knows where your Bank Passwords will end up..!

So can you just move the .keychain file from one Mac to the /Library/Keychains on another Mac and have all your Safari passwords when you restart?
