Check List for PowerBook

I've finally made the switch and my new powerbook 15", 1.25ghz is about to arrive in a day or two. As I'm new to mac what should i be checking when it finally arrives? (like dead pixels, whit spots, what else?)

You've named the most major concerns... but also check the battery and be sure to calibrate it (info about it is listed in the manual).

Aside from those and if it arrives in 1 piece that should be it.
