Rendezvous is a waste. I dont see the need for this program. Sharing over the LAN.....WOW!

Rendezvous isn't a program, it's a technology, like wifi.

It allows people to collaborate or find devices on a network without having to anything about the network or each others' settings. It's immensely useful.

Don't write it off if you don't understand it. ;)

The point of the article is to point out separate programs that take advantage of it for remote collaboration.

Speaking of, why is this posted as 3rd-party hardware? Shouldn't it be something like tips?

SubEthaEdit can also be used on the internet. Perfect for getting a few people around and hold a no holds barred chat assault.

Since you can change other people's text it can be hilarious. Better then a normal chat room.

But if doing work, the tool can be invaluable as people work on different parts or having a writer, proof reader and someone following behind and fixing changes.
